Danger of burns!
► This electrical appliance has a heat-
ing function. Surfaces, even apart
from the functional surfaces, can de-
velop high temperatures. Since tem-
peratures are experienced differently
by different people, this appliance
must be used CAREFULLY. Hold the
appliance only at the handles pro-
vided, and use gloves or pot holders
to protect against heat. Surfaces not
intended as handles must be allowed
sufficient time to cool down.
► Do not touch the melting pot during
use.
► Use the handle to hold the appliance
while it is in operation.
► Before cleaning, allow the appliance
to cool down.
► Do not move the appliance during
operation.

► Always switch off the appliance be-
fore removing the melting pot.
► Never operate the appliance without
the melting pot.
► Do not pull the connecting cable
to remove the plug from the mains
socket.
► Never operate the appliance when
the melting pot is empty.
► Do not use abrasive cleaning agents
or metal brushes, nylon brushes
or other sharp objects to clean the
surfaces.
► Use only the forks or skewers in-
cluded in the scope of supply.
► Never lift or move the appliance with
the mains cable.
Requirements for the place of use
For safe and trouble-free operation of the
appliance, the place of operation must sat-
isfy the following requirements:
■ Place the appliance on a firm, dry, flat,
waterproof and heat-resistant surface.
■ Do not install the appliance in a hot,
wet or very humid environment.
■ The mains socket must be easily ac-
cessible and allow fast disconnection
in the event of an emergency.
■ The surface finishes on furniture may
contain substances that can be detri-
mental to the feet of the appliance. If
necessary, place a mat under the feet
of the appliance.
