Power On/Off Switch

The camera's power is
turned on and off with the
Mode Dial. The power is
off when the dial is turned
to the L (Lock) position and
on when turned to any
other position.
Power Save Function
Shooting Modes
The camera automatically closes the lens
cover and powers down if you do not use
a camera function for approximately
three minutes.
Playback Modes
The camera automatically powers down if
you do not use a camera function for
approximately five minutes.
PC Mode
When connected to a computer, a
message is displayed on the computer
monitor if you do not use a camera
function for approximately five minutes.
If you do not use a camera function for
an additional minute, the camera
automatically powers down.
• To reactivate the camera after it is
powered down, turn the Mode Dial or
press any button.
• You can deactivate the Power Save
