1. Do not remove the PVC masking film until the enclosure is fully assembled. The PVC
masking film will protect the finish of the metal panels during installation.
2. The concrete base should be 6" thick, 14" longer than enclosure ID and 14" wider than
enclosure ID. Please note that the concrete base should be level, or the access panels may be
difficult to install.
3. Mark the concrete base for the outside of the enclosure using the dimensions in the table
above. See important notice in step 4 before marking.
4. Important Notice - if the enclosure will be installed over an N pattern backflow assembly
with OS&Y gate valves: Place one "A" PANEL side of the enclosure 1" from the fully open
OS&Y gate valve STEM. This will allow room for the check valves to be serviced in the "C"
PANEL OPENING. Once one side of the enclosure is placed 1" from the fully open OS&Y
gate valve STEM, continue to assemble the enclosure by following the directions below.
5. Place the other A panel on the concrete pad opposite the "A" panel in step 4. Measure and
verify the Outside Dimension of these A panels matches what is noted in the table above.
6. Set "D" (roof) panel on "A" (end) panels.
7. Temporarily place one "C" (access) panel opposite hinged side of "D" (roof) panel. Square
the enclosure.
8. IMPORTANT! From inside the enclosure, inspect the alignment of the "D" (roof) panel where it
meets the "A" panels to ensure that "A" panels are placed securely within the "D" (roof)
channel. Fasten "D" (roof) safety hooks before connection of the "D" (roof) to the "A" panels.
9. Fasten "D" (roof) panel to "A" (end) panel by attaching the roof hinges to "A" (end) panels
with three (3) screws provided. (Fig 1A)
10. Remove "C" (access) door panel.
11. IMPORTANT! THE "D" ROOF PANEL MUST BE CONNECTED TO THE "A" PANELS
BEFORE ANCHORING ENCLOSURE TO THE SLAB.
12. IMPORTANT! Fasten each Inside Corner Aluminum Anchoring Brackets to the "A" panel
with hex head screws as shown in Fig. 1B, then fasten to concrete base with anchors
provided.
13. Release safety hooks and raise roof. Snap lift shocks onto brackets by snapping the shock
socket over the ball of each bracket. (Fig 1C) Be sure the cylinder end of the shock is
attached to the roof.
