OPERATION

Starting Operation
Observe the mains voltage! The voltage of the power supply must correspond
!
with the data given on the nameplate of the battery charger.
1. Charging the battery
The charging procedure starts as soon as the mains plug of the battery
charger is inserted into the socket supply and the charger site is slid into the
battery pack. The green light will then turn on, which means the connection to
the main supply is ok.
When charging the battery pack, the red light will be lit, the green light is off till
the battery is fully charged. Once the battery is fully charged, the green light
will turn on again,and the red light will turn off.
Note: The charging procedure is only possible when the battery temperature is

within the correct range.

2. Remove the battery and pull out the plug
When the battery pack is fully charged, please remove the battery from the
charger immediately,and then pull out the plug. It will allow you to save power,
and will maximize the life of the battery.
Troubleshooting
Cause
Continuous lighting of the battery charge green light
No charging procedure possible
Battery not properly inserted
Battery contacts contaminated
Battery temperature is outside of
the correct range.
Battery defective
Battery charge red light is not lit up
Battery inserted
Socket outlet, mains cable or
battery charger defective

Corrective Measure
Properly insert battery site into
battery pack
Clean the battery contacts (e.g. by
inserting and removing the battery
several times) or replace the battery
Ensure that battery temperature is
between 0º - 45º (let it cool off or
warm up at room temperature before
charging)
Replace the battery
Properly insert battery site into battery
pack
Check the mains voltage; have the
battery charger checked by an
authorized after-sales service agent
