One of these points must be connected to adjacent building steel (girder, joist), a floor ground rod or bus bar. Fusing The HPVFE has been UL tested and approved for use with input fuses. The ratings in the table that follows are the maximum recommended values for use with each drive rating. The devices listed in this table are provided to serve as a guide.

Appendix C RS485 (DSI) Protocol HPVFE drives support the RS485 (DSI) protocol to allow efficient operation with Solcom&Hapn peripherals. In addition, some Modbus functions are supported to allow simple networking. HPVFE drives can be multi-dropped on an RS485 network using Modbus protocol in RTU mode.
