The oven light may stay on even after the thermostat light is off and the oven is cold because the light is not controlled by the thermostat. The thermostat light indicates heating activity, turning on and off to show the oven is maintaining temperature. The oven light operates separately and may need to be turned off manually or may be malfunctioning.

The left oven of a ROSIERES Bocuse could have the oven on light still on while the thermostat light is off and the oven is cold due to one of the following reasons:
1. Thermostat Not Set – If the thermostat knob is not set to a cooking temperature, the oven will not heat up. 2. Manual or Automatic Mode Not Set Correctly – The oven must be set to manual mode (symbol in the window) or a programmed cooking duration for it to start heating. 3. Faulty Thermostat or Heating Element – A defect in the thermostat or heating element could prevent the oven from heating while the power remains on. 4. Electrical Issue – A wiring issue or malfunction in the oven’s power supply may prevent it from heating while still keeping the power light on.
If the issue persists, it is recommended to disconnect the oven from the power supply and contact an approved ROSIERES service agent.

COOKING HINTS Temperatures and cooking times are given as guidance for oven use. Personal experience should then let you adapt these settings to your own taste. Remember that cooking at higher temperatures causes more spattering, and the oven becomes dirty causing smoke. It is better to slightly reduce the cooking temperature, even if it means increasing the cooking time.
Page 15
MEAT It is better not to salt meat until after cooking as salt encourages the meat to spatter fat. This will dirty the oven and generate a lot of smoke. Joints of white meat, pork, veal, lamb and fish can be put into a cold oven. The cooking time is longer than for a preheated oven, but it cooks through to the middle of the food as the heat has more time to penetrate.

BAKING Avoid using shiny tins as they reflect heat and can spoil your cakes. If your cakes brown too quickly, cover them with grease-proof paper or aluminium foil. Caution: the correct way to use foil is with the shiny side in towards the cake. If not the heat is reflected by the shiny surface and does not penetrate the food.

Section 7 Electrical connection The installation receiving the appliance must comply with the standards in force in the installation country. The ROSIERES company does not accept any responsibility if this provision is not complied with. Caution: • Before connecting, the technician must check the power supply voltage shown on the meter, the circuit breaker setting, the fuse rating and the earth continuity of the installation.
