Problem
1. No water coming out of the
faucet.
2. Water flow from spout does not
stop.
3. Water flow diminished.
4. Buzzing noise.
5. Side mixing handle movement.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Indicator
Sensor flashes continuously when
user's hands are within the sensor's
range.
Red light in the sensor does not
flash when user's hands are within
the sensor's range.
Red light in the sensor flashes when
user's hands are within the sensor's
range.
Red light in sensor flashes when
user's hands are within the sensor's
range.
Red light in the sensor does not
flash when the user's hands are
within the sensor's range.
Red light in sensor flashes when
user's hands are within the sensor's
range.
Buzzing noise during operation.
Side mixing handle is stiff or feels
gritty during operation.

Cause
Low battery.
Battery is completely used up.
The sensor is picking up reflections
from a mirror or other objects.
Connectors between the sensor and
solenoid are disconnected.
Debris or scale in solenoid.
The water supply pressure is too high
(above 125 psi).
The water pressure in the faucet body
is higher than the supply pressure
(blockage within the faucet), which
causes the inlet check valves to lock
close.
Debris in diaphragm.
Diaphragm is torn.
Sensor is dirty.
Sensor is obstructed.
Sensor is picking up reflections from
mirror or another object.
Filter is clogged.
Aerator is clogged.
Fit of solenoid components.
Not enough o-ring lubrication.
Metal filings inside mixing handle
assembly.

Solution
Replace batteries.
The battery must be replaced.
Remove the cause of the reflection.
Connect the sensor connectors to the
solenoid.
Refer to "Maintenance" instructions
on "Replacing the solenoid assembly
(061328A)" on page 9
Reduce the water supply pressure
below 125 psi.
Turn off the water supply at the shut-off
valve(s). Detach the supply hose(s) to
relieve the pressure in the faucet body.
Replace
the
solenoid,
refer
"Maintenance"
instructions
"Replacing the solenoid assembly
(061328A)" on page 9
Replace
solenoid,
refer
"Maintenance"
instructions
"Replacing the solenoid assembly
(061328A)" on page 9
Clean sensor lens with soap and water.
Use of an abrasive may scratch the
sensor lens.
Remove the cause of the obstruction.
Remove the cause of the reflection.
Remove, clean and re-install in-line
filter(s).
Remove, clean and re-install aerator.
Ensure supply stop(s) are fully open.
Clean
filter(s)
per
"Maintenance"
instructions
on
"Filter
cleaning
instructions" on page 8.
Increase water pressure to faucet.
Dissassemble
and
reassemble
solenoid assembly. If problem persists,
replace solenoid as per "Maintenance"
instructions on "Replacing the solenoid
assembly (061328A)" on page 9
Refer to "Maintenance" instructions
on "Side mixer cleaning instructions
(DEMD-321LF)" on page 8
