1. Intended use
VGA cables come only in limited lengths. By extending VGA signals via suitable network cables (patch cables) (not
included in delivery) extensions up to a maximum of 70 m can be achieved. If there is an audio signal available, it will
also be integrated in the network signal. The VGA and audio source are connected to the transmitter. The network
cable (patch cable) connects the transmitter and receiver. The VGA and audio signal is picked up at the receiver.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be avoided
under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product for
purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can cause
hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this
product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

3. Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information. If you
do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this manual, we
assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will
invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Persons / Product
• Keep the product and wiring away from sources of electromagnetic interference.
• For connection, only use the transmitter/receiver pair included in delivery.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• As power supply, only use the supplied mains adaptor.
• Only connect the power adaptor to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply. Before plugging in
the power adaptor, check whether the voltage stated on the power adaptor complies with the voltage of your
electricity supplier.
• Never connect or disconnect power adaptors if your hands are wet.
• Never unplug the power adaptor from the mains socket by pulling on the cable; always use the grips on the plug.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or damaged by sharp edges.
• Always lay the cables so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in them. This poses a risk of injury.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the power adaptor from the mains socket during storms.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material for
children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable
gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental
use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the product.
Miscellaneous
• The product is suitable for wall or desk mounting. If you are not familiar with the assembly procedure (drilling,
screwing etc.), contact an expert.
• Do not drill over water pipes and electrical lines. Electric shock hazard and danger of injury!
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical support
service or other technical personnel.
4. Connection
Preparation
1. Always follow the operating instructions of the devices to be connected.
2. If you have your own network or system administrator (for example in a larger company), have this person
assume responsibility for connecting and wiring. Do not connect the product yourself.
3. Turn off all devices to be connected and deenergise them.
4. Decide on the installation locations of the transmitter and receiver.
Note: The transmitter features the DC 12V power socket. Transmitter and receiver can become warm
during operation. Keep this in mind when selecting an installation location.
5. For connection, you can use the included VGA cable and the audio cable (jack cable).
6. If you would like to permanently install the products, use the screws and dowels included. The transmitter and
receiver have installation openings.
7. For an extension, a suitable patch cable (network cable) (CAT-5e UTP/STP, EIA/TIA-568B or CAT6 UTP, EIA/
TIA-568B cable) with a maximum length of 70 m is required. If you are not sure about cable types, get advice
from a specialist retailer.

Connection
1. Connect the patch cable to the signal output LINK (6) on the transmitter and the signal input LINK (1) on the
receiver.
2. On transmitter: Connect the VGA source (e.g. PC) to the video input IN-VGA (8). Connect the audio source to
the audio input IN-AUDIO (7).
3. On receiver: Connect the VGA cable of the end product (e.g. monitor) to the video output OUT-MONITOR (3).
Connect the jack plug of the audio signal consumer to the audio output OUT-AUDIO (2).

1. Connect the round pin plug of the power cable to the power socket DC 12V (10) on the transmitter. Connect the power
adaptor to a suitable mains socket within easy reach.
2. While the transmitter and receiver are supplied with power, their operation indicators (4, 9) light up.
3. Unplug the power adaptor if the product will not be used for a longer period of time.
Indicators
During operation, make sure to monitor any indicators (5) that light up:
– Green: VGA signal transmission, – Yellow: audio source damaged

• Do not immerse the product in water or other liquids.
