switch in the locked or off position before
making any assembly, adjustments or
changing accessories. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting
the tool accidentally.

SWITCHING ON AND OFF

To save energy, only switch the vacuum
cleaner on when using it.
– To switch on the vacuum cleaner, press
the On/Off button.
– To switch off the vacuum cleaner, press
the On/Off button again.

CLEANING THE DUST CANISTER

(see figures 4 - 6)
To maintain the optimum performance of the
vacuum cleaner, clean the dust canister after
each use.
1. Hold the vacuum cleaner down slightly so
that dust cannot fall out of the dust
canister when the vacuum cleaner is
opened.
2. Press release button and remove the dust
canister from the motor housing.
3. Reach into the recess on the motor
housing and pull the filter unit off the motor
housing by the filter seal.
4. Shake/tap out the dust canister over a
suitable waste bin.
5. If required, clean the dust canister with a
moist cloth.
If required, clean the filter assembly (see
"Cleaning the Filter Assembly", page 10).
6. Insert the filter unit with the filter seal back
into the motor housing if removed for
cleaning.
Afterwards, hang the dust canister at the
bottom into the motor housing, apply light
pressure until the dust canister can be
heard to engage.
