CLEANING THE FILTER ASSEMBLY

(see figure 7)
The filter unit must not be wet cleaned.
1. Hold the vacuum cleaner down slightly so
that dust cannot fall out of the dust
canister when the vacuum cleaner is
opened.
2. Press dust canister release button and
remove the dust canister from the motor
housing.
3. Reach into the recess on the motor
housing and pull the filter unit off the motor
housing by the filter seal.
4. Brush down the flaps of the pleated filter
with a soft broom.
5. Assembly is carried out in reverse order.
MALFUNCTIONS
In the case of insufficient vacuuming
performance, check the following:
– Is the dust canister full?
See "Cleaning the Dust Canister",
page 9.
– Is the folded filter clogged with dust?
See "Cleaning the Filter Assembly",
page 10.
– Is the capacity of the battery pack too low?
See battery/charger manual (included
with tool).
Regular emptying of the dust canister and
cleaning of the filter assembly ensures
optimal vacuum capacity.
If the vacuuming performance is not
achieved thereafter, take the vacuum cleaner
to a Bosch authorized service center.
