TILTING THE MACHINE/PALLET ASSEMBLY Using a lifting device fitted with a hook Moor the machine using two textile slings as shown opposite. (Two strands of each sling must have a minimum capacity of 2500 kg / 5500 lbs.). - The sling attached onto the cutterbar must have a length of three meters (9’10”) - The sling attached to the pallet must have a length of four meters (13’1”)
  • Page 12 TILTING THE MACHINE/PALLET ASSEMBLY Keep all people clear from the load zone. Slowly lift the hoist till the three slings are tensioned and that the machine/pallet unit clears the ground. The machine will tilt over automatically if sling length is as stated previously. Lower the hoist until the cutterbar rests on both wedges placed previously.

MACHINE ASSEMBLY Moore the pallet with a 4 m / 13’1” long sling to the hoist hook. Remove the tension hoops taking the usual precautions (beware of lash). The machine is fixed on the pallet by means of two side supports and one central support. Remove the carriage screws which secure the supports to the pallet.
  • Page 15 MACHINE ASSEMBLY The drawbar and Gyrodine swivel hitch are secured by three supports. Using the hoist ease the drawbar on the swivel hitch side. Remove and scrap the machine/pallet con- nection supports. Reinstall the screws. With the hoist, pivot the drawbar until it is more or less perpendicular to the frame.
  • Page 16 MACHINE ASSEMBLY Unpack the drawbar positioning cylinder. Remove both cynlinder pins Using the horst, position the tongue to align the cylinder clevis holes with the tongue and main frame bore. Insert cylinder pins and recure them with roll pins. Fit lock bar and recure it with provided roll pins and spring cetter.
  • Page 17 MACHINE ASSEMBLY After having removed the clamp bolt, slide the primary PTO yoke into the splined shaft of the Gyrodine hitch. Secure the yoke using the clamp bolt (the bolt concave part against the shaft). Torque : 7 daNm52 ft.lbs). Re-install guard cone.
  • Page 18 MACHINE ASSEMBLY Mount the housing with the two original screws. Reinstall the slip clutch and secure with supplied washer and screw. Torque : 7 daNm (52 ft.lbs). Install the inspection plate of the intermediate PTO yoke and secure it using the pre-fitted fixation screws.
  • Page 19 MACHINE ASSEMBLY Install tool box using the screws pre-fitted on the drawbar. Fit the secondary PTO shaft onto the slip clutch using the pre-fitted screws. Torque : 7 daNm (52 ft.lbs). After having removed the clamp bolt, drive the yoke into the splined shaft of the side gearbox. Secure the yoke using the clamp bolt (the bolt concave part against the shaft).
  • Page 20 MACHINE ASSEMBLY Install and secure the intermediate housing guard with the pre-fitted screws. Attach the PTO shaft guard securing chain. To remove frame/conditioning unit connect- ing brackets (one on each side of the ma- chine) proceed as follows : Loosen both fixation screws. Lengthen or shorten the cutting height adjust- ment rod until the connecting brackets are no longer under load.
