Slide the disk's latch button the right to release the latch. 3. Rotate the latch outward (1) and slowly pull the disk from its slot (2). Place the disk on a padded, static-free surface.

Identify the failed fan. The SP fault LED, located at the bottom left rear of the chassis, will show an amber color if there is a fan failure.

Pull the SLIC cage forward and remove the SLIC cage. 3. Remove eight screws from the side of the chassis (four each side) and remove the fan cage.
