Customers' receivers can be set from PC Setup via the Internet.
Make the connections and settings following the procedure below before operating.
1. Make connections as described at "For a remote
connection via the Internet" under "Making network
connections" (page 5).
2. Set the receiver to the maintenance mode.
Select the following: HOME MENU d System Setup d Other Setup d
Maintenance Mode

WAN IP Address
Port 4
Port forwarding
Exit
• Port 4 at Port Number Setup in the receiver's Network Setup menu is used for
sending and receiving external commands.
• While the network module is starting up, "---" is displayed as the WAN IP address.
"---" is also displayed when using a router that is not UPnP-compatible and setting
manually for the port forwarding function.
• When using a UPnP-compatible router and the port forwarding function is operating
normally, "Port forwarding : OK" is displayed. When setting manually for the port
forwarding function, "Port forwarding : NG" is displayed.
3. Set the WAN IP address displayed on the GUI from PC
Setup.
At the "Protocol/Demo/File" tab under "Settings", select "Internet" and set the
WAN IP address and TCP port.

• Depending on the router being used, the port forwarding function may be canceled on its
own due to reasons of time, etc. Refer to the router's operating instructions or contact its
manufacturer.
• The port forwarding function is canceled when the receiver's maintenance mode is exited
or the power is turned off. If operations using PC Setup have been canceled, be sure to exit
the maintenance mode.
