SETTING THE PUMP PRESSURE
The pump is pre-set at 12 bar.
The pressure can be checked by an oil bath pressure gauge.
The pressure can be usually set between 11 and 15 bar.
1 – Intake
2 – Return
3 – Nozzle
4 – Pressure setting
N.B. If the vacuum exceeds 4 m., provide for a circulation pump
COMBUSTION CONTROL
In order to achieve the best combustion efficiency and respect the environment, proceed to control and set the combustion
by the most adequate instruments. The main values to be considered are:ù
- CO
it indicates the excess of air by which the combustion take place. When the air is increased, the value of CO
2
decreases. When the combustion air is decreased, the CO
- Smoke number (Bacharach). It shows the presence of solid unburned particles in the fumes. When the no. 2 of the scale
BH is exceeded, make sure that the nozzle is not faulty and that it is suitable for the burner and the boiler (brand, type,
angle of atomisation). The no. BH usually tends to decrease raising thus the pressure in the pump; in this case it is necessary
to look out the capacity of the increasing fuel and, in case, decrease the capacity of the nozzle.
- Fumes temperature. This value which represents the dispersion of heat through the stack; the higher the temperature, the
greater the dispersions and the lower the combustion efficiency.
When the burners are operating with high/low flame, it is necessary to make sure that the conditions for the condensation
of fumes in the boiler and in the stake are not taking place. The condensation could cause corrosions to the boiler. It is
therefore necessary to consult the manufacturer of the same. As to the stack, according to the kind of material used to make
it, phenomena of corrosion, dark moisture spots and difficulties in the fumes exhaust (inadequate draft) could occur.
N.B.
In a few countries the regulations in force may require different settings from those reported and also demand the respect
of different parameters. The burners are planned to respect the strictest international standards as to the energy saving
and the safeguard of the environment.
Pressure bar
increases. Acceptable values are 11 – 12 % .
