1. Coffeemaker Reservoir Cover
Flips back for easy fi lling and to access to the
grinder compartment.
2. Coffeemaker Water Reservoir
With water level indicator window.
3. Showerhead (not shown)
Distributes water evenly over coffee, reducing
temperature loss as water passes through grounds.
4. Grinder Assembly
Removable for easy fi lling and cleaning.

Use the recess on each side of the lid to remove
lid for easy addition of beans. NOTE: Lid must be
in place for unit to operate.

Open to access coffee fi lter.

Remove lid to access. Holds paper fi lter or Cuisinart
permanent gold-tone fi lter. NOTE: Lid must be in
place for unit to operate. NOTE: Cover becomes
hot after coffee is brewed. Use caution when
removing cover.
8. Gold-Tone Cuisinart Commercial-Style Filter
A note about fi lters: When using our permanent fi lter,
position handle toward front of the unit so it does
not interfere with the fl ow of coffee into the fi lter
basket. Also NOTE: Using our permanent gold-tone

*All materials that come in contact with coffee or water are BPA free.
fi lter may allow some fi ne coffee grounds to fall into,
and appear as sediment in the carafe.
9. Brew Pause™
Stops fl ow of coffee from basket when carafe is
removed from the heater plate, so a cup can be
poured mid-brew.

The easy-pour, no-drip, 12-cup carafe has an
ergonomic handle and brewed coffee markings.
11. Heater Plate
Keeps coffee warm after brewing. Scratch resistant
with nonstick coating.
12. Charcoal Water Filter
Eliminates chlorine, bad tastes and odors from
tap water. Holder keeps fi lter fi rmly in place.
NOTE: Follow directions for preparing and inserting
fi lter on page 8.
13. Ready Tone (not shown)
Signals the end of the brew cycle with fi ve beeps.
14. Power Loss Backup System (not shown)
One-minute protection if a breaker trips, unit is
unplugged, or power fails. Holds all programmed
information, including time of day, Auto On time
and Auto Off time.
