Configuration Guide for Windows XP Configuration Guide Diamond 7.1 USB Sound Card in Windows XP For the installation of the Diamond XS71U 7.1 USB Sound Card are two steps necessary: Step 1. The automatic installation of a generic USB driver. Step 2. - Page 4 In order to use all connected Speakers, you have to make a few more settings as shown below! The “Diamond 7.1 USB Sound Card” has to be set as „Default device“. If this is done, click on „Advanced“ at the “Volume”-Tab to enable the 7.1 surround functionality.
- Page 5 Choose „ Diamond 7.1 home theatre speakers“ and then “OK”! Now the configuration is done. You will get back to the Sound Menu! In order to use the Diamond 7.1 USB Sound Card as your default record device, you have to follow the next steps shown below.

- Page 9 Click on „7.1 Surround“ and on “Next”! Here you have to activate the „Center“, „Sub-woofer“, „Side pair“ and „Rear pair“. Proceed by clicking on „Next“. Here you can activate / deactivate both options as needed. Click on „Next“ to proceed!
