    Inserting the battery pack Open the cover. Insert the battery pack. • While pressing the battery eject lever, insert the battery pack as illustrated.     Inserting a memory card (sold separately) Open the cover. Insert the memory card (sold separately). • With the notched corner facing as illustrated, insert the memory card until it clicks into place. Close the cover. • Closing the cover with the battery inserted incorrectly may damage the camera.

    To remove the memory card/battery pack Memory card: Push the memory card in once. Battery pack: Slide the battery eject lever. Be sure not to drop the battery pack. Note • Never remove the memory card/battery pack when the access lamp (page 12) is lit. This may cause damage to data in the memory card/internal memory.

    Select the desired display color and the GPS setting (DSC-HX100V only), following the instructions on the screen. • The battery pack will run out quickly if you set [GPS setting] to [On] (DSC-HX100V only). When an [In-Camera Guide] introductory message is appeared on the screen, select [OK].
