1. Installation

1. Mount the sensor on the wall, close to the
humidifier/dehumidifier, but with a minimum
distance of 150 cm. The sensor must be mounted at
a height of +/- 1 meter above the floor. Do not
place the sensor in the direct airflow of fans as this
can influence the measurements (sensor NOT
included).
2. Also mount the Humi Dual Pro on the wall with the
supplied mounting kit.
3. Connect the sensor to the right side of the Humi
Dual Pro with the supplied (UTP) cable(s).
4. Connect the plug of the humidifier (right outlet)
and/or dehumidifier (left outlet) to the outlet(s) of
the Humi Dual Pro.
5. Plug the plug of the Humi Dual Pro into a
230V/110V outlet.
6. Ready!
2. Which sensors can be connected to
the Humi Dual Pro?
The minimum sensor required is a Temp/RH Sensor. If
CO
values need to be displayed as well, you can replace
2
the Temp/RH Sensor with a S-4 Sensor. The S-4
measures CO
, temperature and air humidity, and
2
detects light simultaneously.

3. Connecting controllers and sensors

Most controllers and sensors (except the Temp Probe) of
the TechGrow Pro Series can be interconnected in order
to guarantee an optimal climate.
Make sure that the controller is switched off before
connecting the sensor(s) to prevent possible
malfunctions. The sensor can be plugged into any UTP
port.
It is possible to interconnect the controllers, so that you
can control your entire room climate with just one S-4
Sensor. Make sure that all controllers are supplied with
mains voltage to prevent possible malfunctions.
Since the Humi Dual Pro has 3 UTP ports, you can also
connect a datalogger (DL-1), for example.
4. Connecting extra sensors or other
devices
The Humi Dual Pro can measure and display the actual
values and register the minimum/maximum values of
connected CO
, humidity, and temperature sensors.

However, the Humi Dual Pro "only" controls the relative
humidity level.
If you wish to connect another sensor to the
Humi Dual Pro, first unplug the controller, wait a few
seconds and then connect the sensor. Reconnect the
controller to the power outlet.
ATTENTION: NEVER connect two of the same
type of sensors to your controller! For example: a S-4
Sensor can never be connected simultaneously with
a Temp/RH.
5. Automatic functions of the Humi
Dual Pro
The backlight of the display will turn off automatically
after 60 seconds of no activity. Only when the Push-and-
Turn-Knob (PTK) is pressed or turned, the backlight will
go on again.

6. Meaning LEDs

Dehumidify: dehumidifier is active.
OK: LED lights green when the climate is stable.
Humidify: humidifier is active.
Light detected: light detection (under PTK).

7. Operation of the Humi Dual Pro

If the relative humidity level in the room falls outside the
range "setpoint – hysteresis", the humidifier (right outlet)
is switched on until the level rises above setpoint.
If the relative humidity level in the room falls outside the
range "setpoint + hysteresis", the dehumidifier (left
outlet) is switched on until the level drops below
setpoint.
Example
The desired humidity level is "set" at 60%. The "hys" is set
to 2%. The current humidity level in the room is 62%; that
is 2% higher than the desired humidity level, so the
humidifier is off. All LED lights are off.
Humidification The air humidity is slowly decreasing to
60%: there is no action. Only when the value drops below
the desired humidity level ("set") minus the hysteresis
(2%), the humidifier will be switched on. That is below
60% - 3% = 57%. The humidifier switches on and the red
"humidify" light comes on. Now, the air humidity rises,
and if the value has risen above 60%, the humidifier is
switched off again. The red "humidify" light goes off.
