Manually Adjusting Oracle/Breville BCG820 Grinders
*Depending on the age of your machine there will be different ways to see what you are changing –
if your machine is a newer model you will see numbers ranging from 1-9 on the inside of the outer
burr.
If you own an older version of the Oracle the numbers will not be there but you can dictate how
many settings you are changing by counting the holes that the silver handle can fit into – for
example if you turn it anti clockwise by 3 of those holes and reinsert the silver handle it would be
like turning it from Number 6 to Number 3 on one of the newer machines.
Re insert the silver handle into the burr to lock it into its new position.
7. Re fit the outer burr into the grinder – this can be the trickiest part of the process – you will first
need to make sure that there are no beans or grind debris inside the grinder and when inserting line
the red arrow, push down slightly and turn clockwise towards the lock position.
The numbers will be on the inside
track here – usually on a default of 6
