CUTTING DEPTH

For greatest cutting depth, do not attach the depth bracket. To limit
cutting depth, follow the directions below.
CAUTION! Allow the tool to cool down completely before attempting to
install, remove, or adjust the depth bracket (H).
1. Remove the acorn nuts (E) from the front of the handle.
2. Place the depth bracket (H) over the blade (A) and the
protruding bolts.
3. Secure the depth bracket (H) with the two acorn nuts (E).
4. Loosen the two scale screws (G).
5. Adjust the depth scale to the desired cutting depth and tighten the
two scale screws (G).

GENERAL OPERATION

1. Plug the power cord into the nearest 120 volt, grounded,
electrical outlet.
2. Turn the temperature knob (C) to the desired temperature.
3. Press and hold the trigger (D) to heat up the blade (A). The blade (A)
will reach the operating temperature in about one minute and will
remain at the temperature selected. Also, the power LED (B) will
illuminate during operation.
4. When the blade (A) has reached the pre-set temperature, you may
use the sharp edge of the blade (A) for line cutting or use the side of
the blade (A) for wide groove cutting.
5. When the trigger (D) is released, power to the blade (A) is cut off and
the blade (A) will cool down gradually.
CAUTION! The residual heat on the blade (A) will take several minutes
to dissipate. Use caution while the blade (A) is still hot.
