Operating the Juicer

1. Wash the chosen foods thoroughly, before extracting the juice.
2. Cut away any inedible, hard component parts as pits (e.g. of cherries,
peaches, and others), hard sins (e. g. of oranges, grapefruits, mandarins,
lemons etc.) and the like.
The device is not intended to hackle hard foods as nuts or to prepare mince-
meat or puree.
3. It is not necessary to cut most of the fruits or vegetables up into small pieces
before processing (e. g. apples, carrots, cucumbers). If you want to make
carrot juice, put the carrots into the feeder chute with the thin root end up-
wards and the leave beginning to the bottom.
4. Switch on the unit. Take the pusher out of the feeder chute and fill in the
edibles, as soon as the machine is running. Take care not to overfill the
feeder chute.
5. Put the pusher (1) into the feeder chute and press the foods down by using
the pusher (1) and imposing light pressure. Never use your hand or another
tool to push the fruits into the slot.
Work slowly and press the pusher only lightly downward. So you get as much
juice as possible.
6. When the pomace container is full, first switch off the unit and then wait until
the engine stops running. Unplug the power plug and remove the juice col-
lecting tank.
Grasp the recessed grip of the pomace container, lift the juicer slightly and
pull off the pomace container from the unit for emptying.
7. After work: Switch off the unit and wait, till the engine stops running. Unplug
the power plug.
Empty the collecting tank and clean the unit (see page 10 "Cleaning").
