Brake and clutch bleeder

OpERATION
4.1.
Always consult the vehicle manufacturer's handbook or workshop manual for the recommended procedure.

Screw the cap onto the brake/clutch
reservoir. Make sure that the cap is tight
and connect the remaining pipes, fig.1.
4.3.
Pump the handle to pressurise, make sure
there are no leaks, fig.2.
4.4.
Release the pressure and fill the bottle with new brake fluid, fig.3.
4.5.
Mount the bottle in a suitable position under
the bonnet using the metal hook, fig.4.
4.6.
Using a suitable pipe and waste container
(not supplied), push the pipe onto the bleed nipple. Pump the handle to pressurise the bottle, fig.5.
4.7.
Release bleed nipple allowing air and old brake fluid to flow out of container, fig.6.
4.8.
When the bottle and reservoir is pressurised, follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions for brake or clutch bleeding.
4.9.
Monitor the fluid level in the bottle; if it needs replenishment before the bleeding procedure is complete, open the bottle cap slowly to
release the pressure. Refill the bottle and re-pressurise.
4.10.
When the bleeding has been completed, release the bottle pressure by unscrewing the cap slowly.
4.11.
Wipe the bottle cap with clean rag or paper to avoid dripping brake fluid on paintwork.
4.12.
When not in use, empty of brake fluid and store in a clean, dry, childproof location.
4.13.
Dispose of brake fluid in accordance with national and local regulations.
