If you encounter a problem with the cooktop, check the tables starting below, and
then try the suggested actions.

Gas safety
Problem
Possible cause
You smell gas.
The surface burner knob
is not in the OFF position
and the burner is not lit.

Turn the burner knob to OFF.
Clear the room, building, or area

not call from your phone. It is
electrical and could cause a spark
that could ignite the gas. Follow
the gas supplier's instructions.
If you cannot reach your gas
supplier, call the fire department.

Make sure the electrical plug
is plugged into a live, properly
grounded outlet.
Replace the fuse or reset the
circuit breaker.
