Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
 Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to
use the unit, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a quali-
fied person.
 This appliance is not a toy and does not belong in the hands of children. Never
leave the unit unsupervised when in use. Keep it out of reach of children or
persons in need of supervision. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
 The device is not intended for continuous professional operation. The device is
intended to be used in closed rooms only and in similar applications such as:
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; farm
houses; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
bed and breakfast type environments. The use in any other way is not consid-
ered as intended use.
 Should the device become damaged, do not use it any further and have it
repaired by a professional. Do not disassemble the device and do not try to
repair it yourself. In case of questions or problems contact our customer ser-
vice department.
 Make sure the voltage corresponds to the type label on the appliance. Use the
electric kettle only as described in this manual and only for boiling water.
 Never immerse the kettle and the base in water or any other liquids.
 Please switch off the appliance and unplug from the power supply before
cleaning or when not in use.
 Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get
caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend
it. Do not allow the power cord to ride over sharp edges or corners or close to
hot surfaces.
 Always place the device on an even surface during use. Do not place the
device in the sink or on inclined surfaces.
 Do not use the appliance outdoors, or near gas flames, oven plates or other
heated elements.
 Use the electric kettle only with the included base and use the base only with
this kettle.
 Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table or countertop.
