2. Connections and Usage

1. Connect the provided power supply to the DC connector on the switch and a
power outlet.
2. Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT to an HDMI display. (Be sure the
display is powered off when you make the connection.)
3. Connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI IN port on the switch and the other end to
the HDMI sources, such as DVD player. Repeat this step to connect other
HDMI sources, if any.
Notice on Cable Length: The switch supports cable length of up to 20 meters
for input and output respectively. However, it's suggested that you use HDMI
cable that doesn't exceed 15 meters and keep the total length from the input
source to the display within 20 meters. Signal noises can be minimized by
keeping the cable length within this range.
Notice on Connecting to DVI-D, DVI-I Source: If you are going to connect a
computer with DVI interface to the switch, a suitable DVI to HDMI cable is
needed to make the connection. Resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080 are
supported when used with computer. Note that comparing with HDMI
specification that combines both video and audio into a single digital interface,
DVI is a "video only" interface, so no audio signals will be switched by the HDMI
switch when using DVI sources.
4. Once the connection is done, press the power switch to "I" to power on the
switch and power on other devices as well.
Once the sources, the switch and the display are all connected and powered on,
you simply select which source you want to view by pressing the corresponding
buttons on the front panel or using the remote controller.
The switch supports hot-plug detection; no need to turn off the switch while adding
or removing the HDMI devices.
