To seal the pouch, apply pressure on all the length of the two
n
self-fastening strips facing each other.
Please note: the closed sleeve is hidden under the soft
backing material (G).
Emptying the pouch:
Position yourself to carry out the drainage, release
n
the two self-fastening strips and unroll the sleeve. Be
careful, the drainage will start at this point. To fully
open the outlet place your fingers on each side and
press slightly (E).
Once the drainage is complete, expel, as much as possible,
n
any matter still in the sleeve by pressing it lightly from
top to bottom. Carefully clean its extremity (be careful:
use non-shedding material) (F).
Then close the pouch.
n
To close the pouch, fold the sleeve as indicated above.

Urostomy pouches (emptying):
With the pouch pointing downward, direct the drain
n
cap into the toilet.
Gently rotate the cap counterclockwise until you achieve
n
the desired flow rate (K).
To close the cap when the pouch is empty, return the cap
n
to the original position by turning it clockwise.

Removing your appliance:
Pull slightly on the top of the pouch and remove the pouch
from the top to the bottom while maintaining gentle
pressure on the skin around the stoma with your other hand.

Use of the patch cover for filter protection:
If you wish to inactivate the filter before you take a shower
or a bath, stick an adhesive patch on the top of the pouch
so that the hole for gas evacuation is blocked (D).

Use of the connector for the night bag:
Clip on the connector at the end of the closed cap by
n
pushing it slightly (L). Open the cap turning it half a turn
counterclockwise to allow urine to flow in the night bag.
The connector can freely rotate to avoid tubing twisting.
To un-clip, close the cap of the bag by turning it half
n
a turn clockwise. Take the connector by the two wings
and pull with caution (M).
The Flexima® urostomy bag can be connected to standard
urine bags and to the Urimed® bag 2L.
CAUTION:
Take good care to crumple the pouch slightly when fitting
n
the appliance in order to separate the walls so that urine
can flow freely!
After the complete emptying of the pouch, pay attention
n
to close the outlet completely by aligning it with its basis.
