7. General safety information

If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this manual,
we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will
invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous
playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
• CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular
attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
• Exercise particular caution in the presence of children. Children can not recognise the dangers
that arise when incorrectly handling electrical devices. For example, children could try to put
objects in the openings of the product. This constitutes the risk of a fatal electrical shock!
There is also a high risk of injury and burns due to hot surfaces!
• Mount the product so that children cannot reach it.
• Do not place the product directly below a wall socket.
• Choose a suitable location for installation. It must be fixed, sufficiently large, horizontal, smooth
and stable. Keep a sufficient distance (>1 m) at all sides from combustible or highly flammable
materials and objects (e.g. curtains, furniture, doors, etc.). There is a risk of fire if the distance
is too small!
• The castors included can produce scratch marks on the floor when moving the product. This
could cause pressure marks. Use suitable protection for valuable floor surfaces.
• Never use the product in vehicles of any kind or similar moving objects or spaces. The product
is only suitable for operation in buildings.
• Never touch or operate the product if your hands are moist or wet. This constitutes the risk of
a fatal electrical shock!
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in operation.
• Do not use the product in conjunction with an additional timer, a remote switch (e.g. remote
switch socket) or other devices that automatically switch on the product.
