Flame and Solar Torch
• Read and understand these instructions
before use!
• For outdoor use only!
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Never leave a burning torch unattended.
• Hot while in use.
• To prevent burn injuries, snuff and allow to
cool for 30 minutes before handling, refilling
or cleaning.
• Keep clothing, hair and face away from flame.
• Do not place torch under covered shelter or umbrella,
near pedestrian traffic or combustibles such as wood
structures, fuel, clothing or dry vegetation.
• Insert Torch Pole in ground a minimum of 6" until
secure.
Assembly and Torch Installation:
• Assemble the Threaded Pole Connectors into the Pole
Sections (see FIG 1).
• Assemble the Pole Sections together.
• Assemble the Torch to the Pole Assembly (see FIG 2).
• Do not place Torch under covered shelter, near
pedestrian traffic or combustibles such as wood
structures, fuel, clothing or dry vegetation.
• Insert Torch Pole into the ground a minimum of 6" until
secured.
Note: The Pole Section with the angled end is the Lower
Pole Section.

  • Page 2 FIG 2 Filling and Lighting: • Remove the Torch Head from the Pole Assembly (see FIG. 2). • Remove the Solar Lamp/Snuffer assembly (see FIG 3). • Unscrew the metal Flame Guard from the Torch Head (see FIG 4). • Fill the Fuel Canister with 10 fluid ounces of TIKI Torch ® Fuel (see FIG 5) - DO NOT OVER FILL. • Reattach the metal Flame Guard to the Torch Head (see FIG 4) – DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. • Wipe away any spilled fuel before lighting. • Assemble the Torch Head to the Pole Assembly (see FIG 2). • Allow the Wick to become saturated with fuel before lighting. • Use a TIKI Brand Lighter or long fireplace match to the light the ® Torch (see FIG 6).   • Page 3 FIG 7 Extinguishing: • Carefully place the Solar Lamp/Snuffer assembly on the Torch (see FIG 7) until the flame is extinguished. • Snap the Solar Lamp/Snuffer assembly firmly into position to secure the assembly to the Torch Head. Note: Leave the Solar Lamp/Snuffer assembly on the Torch to prevent water contamination. Note: If the Fuel becomes contaminated with water, the Wick and Fuel must be replaced and properly disposed of in accordance with local laws and regulations. Solar Torch Charging and Battery Maintenance: • Place the Solar Lamp/Snuffer assembly (see FIG 8) in a location with direct sunlight for a period of 8 – 10 hours to fully charge the battery. FIG 8 • A fully charged battery will provide 6 – 8 hours of solar lamp operation. • Keep the solar panel clean to assure maximum solar cell efficiency. • Keep the photocell sensor clean to assure the dusk to dawn operation will function properly. • For best performance, replace the 1.2 Volt AA NiMH rechargeable battery every year or when performance diminishes. • Properly dispose of a used Battery in accordance with local laws and regulations. FIG 9 Battery Replacement: • Grip the top and then rotate the Solar Torch Head to access (see FIG 9) the battery compartment. • Remove the Solar Torch Head frame and open the battery compartment cover (see FIG 10). • Remove the Battery carefully.
  • Page 4 This allows the control switch in the Torch Head to control the solar lamp. • Locate the On/Off Switch (see FIG 10) and move the switch to the desired position (On or Off). • Reinstall the Solar Torch Head frame (see FIG 9). FIG 11 Refilling: • Carefully place Solar Lamp/Snuffer assembly on Torch (see FIG 7) – DO NOT BLOW OUT. Allow to cool for 30 minutes before handling and refilling. • Remove the Torch Head from the Pole Assembly (see FIG. 2). • Unscrew the metal Flame Guard from the Torch Head (see FIG 4). • Fill with 10 fluid ounces of TIKI Torch ® Fuel (see FIG 5) – DO NOT OVER FILL. • Reattach the metal Flame Guard to the Torch FIG 12 Head (see FIG 4) – DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. • Wipe away any spilled fuel before lighting. • Reassemble the Torch Head to the Pole Assembly (see FIG 2).
