R53 MINI COOPER SINGLE GAUGE POD
Thank you for purchasing the ALTA Performance gauge pod. Installation should only be performed by persons experienced in the
proper operation of Mini electrical and body systems. Please read through all the instructions before performing the installation.

Use of the factory service manual can be very helpful during the installation. These can be purchased at the dealership

Depending on desired gauge placement, and steering wheel placement, gauges may not be visible to driver. Gauges
•
also may interfere with parts of dash depending on placement. Take care when adjusting.
Included with gauge kit are added parts to help with install of gauge (gauge not included). Not all parts will be needed for

installation.

(1) R53 Gauge Pod

(1) Phillips SS sheet metal screws #10 x 1.25"
•
(1) #10 Toothed washers
•
(1) ALTA Bubble Sticker
•
(3') Red 16G wire
•
(3') Black 16G wire
•
(3') White 16G wire
•
(3') Orange 16G wire
•
(1) Ring terminal
•
(4) Red T-Tap connectors
•
(1) Blue T-Tap connector
•
(6) Male Red connectors
•
(4) Butt Connectors

Gauge Pod Installation

1) Disconnect battery
2) Lower steering column to the lowest setting.
3) remount gauge cluster to steering column. Adjust gauge pods to desired position and remove gauge cluster from column, to
tighten screw. (Careful not to tighten screw too much as the screw is screwing into plastic)
