Shoot the image after the
exposure is set.
• Check the exposure value using
Metered Manual*.
Toward +: Images become brighter.
Toward –: Images become darker.
* When the camera is in M mode, it will
show an under or over compensation
value based on the correct exposure.
• In viewfinder mode, check the
exposure value using the EV scale.
Notes
• The
(Camera shake warning) indicator is not indicated in manual exposure
mode.
• When the mode dial is set to M, the ISO setting [AUTO] is set to [100]. In M mode,
the ISO setting [AUTO] is not available. Set the ISO sensitivity as necessary
(page 130).
• Press the
button when you shoot with the flash. However, the flash range differs
according to the aperture value. When you shoot with the flash, check the flash range
in "Specifications."

Shooting trails of light, such as fireworks.
