  • Page 8 SAFETY INFORMATION GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Never allow children to use the blower. Beware of overhead power lines. Avoid operating while people, especially children, are nearby. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery, which can be caught in moving parts. Use of sturdy gloves, non-slip footwear, safety glasses and earmuffs are recommended. Use extra care when handling fuels.
  • Page 9 SAFETY INFORMATION WARNING! Proper safety precautions must be observed. Like all power equipment this blower must be handled carefully. DO NOT EXPOSE YOURSELF OR OTHERS TO DANGER. Follow these general rules. Do not permit others to use this blower unless they are trained in its operation.

This is potentially dangerous as it may ignite the fuel and cause an explosion. Take care not to spill fuel. When refuelling the blower ensure that the motor has been switched off.

    INSTALLATION ASSEMBLING BLOWER FUNCTION (FIG. C&D) Remove the M5x10mm screw from the boss on the main body with a screw driver. The upper blower tube baynets onto the main unit. Push and then turn the upper blower tube until it locks in position. Secure the upper blower tube with the M5 x 10mm screw.

    ADJUSTMENT FUEL USE FRESH UNLEADED FUEL (PETROL), 90 OCTANE OR BETTER – Do NOT use E10 or Ethanol blends. Mix with a premium grade air cooled 2-Stroke oil at a ratio of 40:1 Mix fuel with 2-stroke oil in an approved container. Shake gently and ensure a thorough mix.

    OPERATION STARTING THE BLOWER Set the ignition switch to the ON position "I". (Fig. I) Repeatedly press the primer bulb until it is full of fuel. This is not required for a warm engine. If the engine is cold, move the choke lever upwards to the ON position. This is not required for a warm engine.
  • Page 15 OPERATION from driveways or paths. Use full throttle when moving heavy loads. For ease of use the throttle hold lever on the handle can be engaged to hold the current throttle position. USING THE VACUUM Install the vacuum air tube and dust bag as described in the "Installation" section.

    MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE BEFORE EACH USE: Remove dirt and debris from the blower exterior. Inspect the engine, tank and hoses for possible fuel leaks, and repair as necessary. Inspect the engine cooling fins for accumulations of dirt or debris , and clean as necessary.

LUBRICATION - Remove the spark plug and then pour approximately a tea spoon of 2 stroke oil into the cylinder through the spark plug hole. Before reinstalling the spark plug, pull the recoil starter 2 or 3 times to distribute the oil over the cylinder walls.
