2. Eject / Insert Only use the ‘CD Eject/Insert’ buttons to operate the CD trays: DO NOT PUSH CD TRAYS manually. CDs cannot be ejected while playing, but USBs may safely be inserted or pulled out at any time. >>> BEWARE: Removing a USB while playing will stop the audio. <<< 3. Playing Audio Once the CD or USB is inserted and the source is confirmed, the first track is ready to play automatically. >>> NOTE: CDs take longer to be ready than USBs. <<< When the CUE button stays lit up (red) and PLAY is flashing (blue), your track is ready to play. TURN THE ‘SELECTION KNOB’ to choose a different track. The desired track is ready to play automatically. >>> BEWARE: turning the ‘Selection Knob’ while playing WILL STOP THE TRACK (and start playing another)! <<< There is no ‘program’ function for either CD or USB (you cannot pre-select several tracks in advance). You can cue and/or play different tracks from the same USB simultaneously on CD1 and CD2. This is not possible with CDs. You can cue a track from a different point than the start, but you must make sure that the desk channel (CD1 or CD2) is turned off / faded down / in cue mode, because cueing a track from a different point than the start is noisy! To cue a track, first play it from the beginning, and then pause it (press ‘PLAY / PAUSE’) at the desired point. Press ‘PLAY / PAUSE’ one more time to continue play from that point and press ‘CUE’. It is now ready to play from the last point you paused. You can make this faster / more precise by using the ‘FFW/REW Cueing Wheel’ (see instructions next page).

4. Forward, Rewind and Precision Cueing Audio (from CD and USB) can be fast forwarded and rewound using the ‘FFW/REW Cueing Wheel’. BEWARE: >>> The ‘FFW/REW Cueing Wheel’ is very sensitive. <<< Touching it will always affect the audio! If the ‘FFW/REW Cueing Wheel’ is turned during play, it will forward or rewind the audio accordingly. Audio will resume playing normally only when the ‘FFW/REW Cueing Wheel’ is no longer moving. The ‘FFW/REW Cueing Wheel’ can also be used to cue a track to a precise point. Turn the wheel to the desired point, press ‘PLAY’ then ‘CUE’. >>> BEWARE: precision cueing is noisy! <<< This will engage as soon as the ‘FFW/REW Cueing Wheel’ is turned forward (even slightly) when a track is cued or paused. If this happens by accident, simply press ‘CUE’ to stop the noise. When precision cueing is intentional, you must make sure that the channel on the desk (CD1 or CD2) is turned off / faded down / on cue mode. 4. USB Formats and conventions This machine will only recognise USBs in FAT (FAT16 or FAT32) format. NTFS, exFAT or other formats will not work. This machine will only play audio in mp3 format and at 16bit and 44.1Khz (41,000hz). IMPORTANT: >>> USBs SHOULD ONLY CONTAIN THE AUDIO INTENDED FOR BROADCAST and nothing else <<< >>> USBs SHOULD NOT CONTAIN ANY FOLDER nor any non-audio file. <<< Audio files located in a folder will not show automatically. To find it, you will need to press ‘Folder Search’, turn the ‘Selection Knob’ to find the required folder and confirm by pressing down the ‘Selection Knob’. You will need to repeat the process with every sub-folder.
