    2.7. APPLICATION The firewood processor RCA 330 JOY is a machine for preparing firewood. It is intended exclusively for the cutting of logs with a diameter of 5 to 33 cm and splitting with a splitting force up to 110 kN per several logs, with adjustable length of logs (from 20 to 40 cm).

    3. GENERAL 3.1. DESCRIPTION The firewood processor RCA 330 JOY is used for preparing firewood. The operation process includes the following stages: 1. Loading logs on the log deck (optional), which allows the feeding of the logs transversally and longitudinally, as well as synchronously with the in-feed conveyor.

    5.2. OPERATING THE RCA 330 JOY TURNING ON THE RCA 330 JOY CONTROL The protective cover of the machine must be closed. Press the Start / Stop button located behind the control handle and hold it for about 3 seconds. Then press the green button (RESET) on the main control handle.

    6. MACHINE OPERATION 6.1. CONVEYOR The conveyor is lifted and lowered by means of a manual winch, and at the desired height, it is secured by a load chain to distribute the weight of the conveyor between the wire rope and the supporting chain.

    During feeding, the trapdoor rises and stays in a horizontal (support) position until the sawing stage is completed or until you close the cover and press the green button (RESET). The trapdoor remains in the support position even when the cover is opened. To lower it, close the cover and press the green button twice.

    REMOVING SAWDUST The RCA 330 JOY has sawdust discharge canal, where you can connect the suction unit for extraction of wood chips and dust (XE 10).

    ADJUSTING THE HEIGHT OF THE SPLITTING WEDGE AND REPLACING THE SPLITTING WEDGE Lift or lower the splitting wedge by pressing the yellow buttons on the main control handle. By doing so you place the splitting wedge to the center of the log and ensure the optimum size of the firewood.
  • Page 23 3. The log in the splitting chute must always be centred on the vertical blade of the splitting wedge. This prevents overloading of the side blades of the splitting wedge. 4. Ensure that the splitting chute and splitting wedge are never obstructed. Always remove any wedged pieces of wood.

    6.6. MACHINE COVER WITH A SAFETY SWITCH If disturbances occur during splitting, the splitting process must be stopped immediately. The machine cover is connected to the safety switch, which means that all main machine functions are disengaged if the machine cover is lifted: the feeding and the conveyor are stopped, and the splitting cylinder and the saw bar return to the home position.

    7. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE Regular machine maintenance ensures reliable operation and long lifetime of the machine.
