Connecting the TCI, Entering Jobs & Pairing with the WrenchStar Multi
Connecting the TCI
Connect the TCI Multi's Power Cable - the TCI should
1
automatically light up to show the unit is powered.
Connect the crossover Ethernet cable to the port on the
back of the TCI Multi and your computer.
Ensure your computer is not connecting to any Wi-Fi
connections but is connected to the internet via a
local area connection, via an additional ethernet cable.
On your computer, go to Control Panel>Network and
2
Internet>Network and Sharing Center.
Click on 'Local Area Connection'
Click on 'Properties' and then on the listed items, double
3
click on 'Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
Ensure that 'Use the following IP address:' is selected and
4
in the IP address section, enter the TCI Multi's default IP
address (192.168.0.101) but change the final digit so it is
one lower, to 100, to avoid an initial conflict of IP address.
Now open up a Google Chrome web browser, and in the
5
address bar, enter the actual TCI Multi's default IP address,
which is 192.168.0.101
The TCI Multi's web page will then load, click on the 'TCI
Network Settings' tab at the top of the page.
The TCI Multi's web page will then load, login using
password 'Admin', click on the 'TCI Network Settings' tab
at the top of the page.
Click 'Change Network Settings' and manually change the
6
final 3 digits of the IP address to a new IP Address that you
will use for the TCI Multi and click 'Submit'.
Now type this new IP address, into the address bar and hit
7
enter, to return to the TCI Multi page on the now correct
IP address.
If at any point during the set-up process you need to
8
restart, press and hold down the blue button on the front
of the unit for 30 seconds, once the lights all flash, release
and press the blue button once to reset.
