Press the AFF button on your remote control,this will eliminate black bars on the top & bottom of the TV screen when viewing movies with an aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and minimize (but not elim- inate) black bars on movies with a wider aspect ratio (2.35:1).

This may cause some picture noise on the TV during playback. The noise will vary depending on the TV used with the unit.
