Alarm / Door Relay: The Alarm/Door Relays (max. 1A) are connected as follows: Output for Alarm and Door are potential free. The output “Relay Alarm” can be used for an external horn or warning light. In addition, one of the 8 digital inputs can be configured to be the external horn acknowledgment. -

When delivered from the factory the RMC is configured to monitor one temperature and to generate an alarm on channel 1 if the temperature reaches the high limit value of 60 degrees Celsius. When power is connected the RMC backlight activates and the latest firmware is displayed.

Page 9: Graphic User Interface
Graphic User Interface (PC terminal): It is recommended to use the Internet Explorer as web browser. The upper part of the PC terminal displays the front of the RMC and shows the 8 Alarm channels as well as the RMC display. In the lower part, a list of the last 15 events is shown, the latest event being listed at the top. -

Door opener: Rack Multi Control has a built in door opening function. In conjunction with an electronic locking mechanism, the door can be controlled by a 4 to 8 digit code. The opening mechanism has an adjustable response time of 1 to 60 seconds. The function can also be activated by a virtual "open door"... -

Settings The monitoring functions of the RMC can be configured via the menu “Settings” Return to the main menu by pressing the "Back ". Alarm & Status channels: The 8 alarm channels can be freely assigned by mouse click. When delivered from the factory channel 1 is already configured for temperature monitoring. -

Receiver / Remote alarm: Up to 5 recipients can be configured to be notified by email or text message when an alarm is raised. For notification by email enter the email address of the recipient. For notification by text message enter the recipients cell phone number starting with “+”... -

SNMP: This sets the parameters to enable the RMC to send SNMP Traps. The settings are normally acquired from the network administrator. If this function is not used leave "Trap receiver IP” blank (see also SNMP section on next page).
