Place the new filter inside of the cover with
the side that says FRONT facing outward.

Align tabs on the filter cover with hooks
on the refrigerator wall.

Rotate the air filter cover clockwise until the
hooks engage and the cover locks in place.

Press and hold the Pure N Freshbutton on
the control panel for 3 seconds to reset the
filter sensor.

NOTE
• Be careful not to catch your finger when
mounting the filter. Doing so may result in
injuries or malfunctions.
• If the replacement period has passed, the
bacteria and odor removal performance may
deteriorate.
• Note that if you wash the filter with water, the
filter performance may also deteriorate.
• Caution should be taken not to change the
direction of the filter to be inserted into the
filter cover.
• When setting the appliance to On or Power
mode after replacing the filter, check if the
LED lamp near the filter is on.
• The filter can be purchased from an LG
Electronics customer information centre.
Replacing the Water Filter
(Plumbed models Only)
Replace the disposable water filter when
indicated on the Replacement Filter icon or at
least every 6 months.
To give you preparation time to get a new filter,
the light will come on just before the capacity of
the current filter runs out. Changing the filter on
time provides you with fresh and clean water
from the appliance.

Unplug the appliance.

Turn off the water supply to the appliance.

Open the Water filter cover.
