Experience has shown that this concentration pro- vides reproducible and precise measurement results. We recommend using this concentration.

    Changes should be made only by authorized persons who have ex- tended process engineering skills in addition to programming skills. Palas explicitly points out that the operator is responsible for the changes in script files. Palas will assume no liability for faulty measurement results, damage to equipment or any consequent damage or lost profit.

    7  Maintenance Dilution system VKL 100 – cleaning suction nozzle The suction nozzle of the dilution system VKL 100 has a very small inner di- ameter and can become even more restricted due to salt residue. Restriction caused by salt particles severely impairs nozzle functioning. For this reason, remove the nozzle daily and clean it with compressed air.

Recom- mended cleaning fluid: isopropanol. Cleaning suction nozzle with compressed air Installation Install the nozzle on the dilution system by reversing the order of removal, then connect the hose from the sampling tube to the suction nozzle.

    7  Maintenance 7.2.1 Preparations for calibration To calibrate the aerosol sensor, use the firmware Mas-Q-Check of the aerosol spectrometer (Promo 1000 or Promo LED 2300). The firmware can be operated either directly on the touch screen of the aerosol spectrometer or via the remote connection. The software PMFT1000 has to be closed to be able to use a remote con- nection.
