This boom is especially suitable in lanes where impacts with vehicles occur frequently, as it only breaks when a vehicle gets stuck or under very violent impact, it does not twist and has the advantage of not damaging the vehicle that hits it.

    Operating Instructions – LBA63 TOLL HIGHWAYS – 2019 Version Operating principle The barrier comprises two sections: a mechanical section (housing, boom, compensation device) and an electrical section (control panel, reduction gear, sensors, magnetic loops, etc.). The electrical section commands the mechanical section. The control panel comprises a programmable logic controller (PLC) (or electronic card) which runs a frequency converter which in turn runs the barrier motor.

However, on-site adjustment (adjustment of stops and sensors) may be needed to optimise the barrier’s operation. The barriers are designed and set based on the equipment controlled. Any change made to the barrier (e.g.: boom length) may require adjustment of the settings.

Therefore, be extremely careful during these operations. Step 1: Adjusting end stops For reversible barriers, stops are used to define the barrier’s open and closed positions.
