Programming Your Remote
Your remote control needs to be programmed to
operate properly. It needs to be told how to run your
television, which 'stream' it should change the
channels for, and which set top box (STB) to control.
1. Does the remote turn on/off the TV and control
volume?
If YES, proceed to next question.
If NO, program remote using this procedure:
a. Manually turn on the TV. (or auxiliary device)
b. Press and release the TV key.
c. Press and hold the SETUP key until the key
blinks twice and then release.
d. The TV key will stay lit. Press the POWER
key once.
e. Aim the remote at the TV and press and
release CHANNEL UP/DOWN. The remote
will auto scan at 10 second intervals. The TV
key will be on, blinking every 10 seconds.
f.
If the TV turns off, a working code has been
found. Press OK once to lock in the code.
The TV key will blink twice.
g. If all codes are exhausted, the TV key will
blink fast 7 times and the search will be
terminated.
2. Can you change channels and/or see the
guide?
If YES, your remote is programmed.
If NO, the remote needs to be programmed
to control the correct stream.
a. Be sure that the RF antenna is attached
to the REMOTE ANTENNA port on the back
of the STB.
b. On the STB, press and hold the OK
button until the STB display will read RC
REG.
c. On the remote, press and hold the STB
button for five seconds. The STB button will
light up and stay lit. Release the STB
button.
d. On the remote, press and release the
STB button. Both the STB and the AUX
buttons will illuminate.
e. On the remote, enter number for the
stream:
-0 for infrared Stream 1 (Use "0" if the
remote will always be used in the same
room as the box or if you are using the
Entone Amulet single stream box.)
-1 for UHF Stream 1 (Channel 10)
-2 for UHF Stream 2 (Channel 23)
-3 for UHF Stream 3 (Channel 39)
f. On the remote, the STB button will blink
twice to indicate the registration was
successful. On the STB, the display will
read RC REG Dx to indicate the registration
was successful.
Helpful Hint: When powering up, push the STB
button every time.
