Assembly manual General advice: For the assembly of many components of the iFactory One, so-called T-nuts are used. The T- nuts need to be pushed into the profiles groove. This only works if the T-nut is in the correct position, as shown in [Picture One].
It may happen that the T-nut does not turn in the groove when the screw gets tightened. If this happens, you have to turn the screw back a little (do not turn the screw all the way out because then you will lose the nut!) and then tighten it again until the T-nut produces the desired clamping.

Try loosening the bolt on the other side at the wheel. If this is an option (use the hex key in the way you can apply the most torque) you can fasten it again, when you have placed the x rail onto the frame. Fastening the bolt again auto realigns the wheel (it rotates along with the bolt until the wheels hits the rail).

Step 9 assembly of core XY movement system: Y stepper motor X stepper motor 2x gt2 belt Mount the Y stepper motor to the upper profile on the side of the R slider. Mount the X stepper motor to the upper profile on the side of the L slider. Then attach the guide rail with the printhead to the rear aluminum profile.
Page 36
The other gt2 belt runs around the geared belt pulley of the X stepper motor and then along all the other rollers on the rear side as shown in the illustration. Tension the belt to the printhead with a cable tie.
Page 37
Y-stepper belt (belt runs over the bottom rolls) 1. The belts need high tension to have no slack in the motion system. 2. If the belts rub against each other, move the motors more outside the frame. 3. If the belts are tight, you can cut off the remaining gt2 belt at the printhead. 4.

Step 13 mounting of belt tightening sliders: belt tightening slider assembly from step 10 Mount four belt tightening sliders on the 4020 extrusions from step 1 as shown in the picture. belt tightening sliders in the back should touch the foot as shown in the picture. The front belt tightening sliders should be placed in the front third of the printer and must be able to be moved later.

Step 14: Putting together the assemblies assembly from step 13 1x assembly from step 12 M5x25 Place the assembly from step 12 onto the belt tightening sliders from step 13. Connect them with screws. Move the printhead out of the way, so it does not get damaged. The cables of the heat bed should face towards the power supply/mainboard.

Step 16 mounting of the cable chain holder: drag chain holder Mount the drag chain holder onto the right side of the extruder with the pre-assembled screws. Mount the cable chain to the holder and the printhead. Make sure that there is sufficient space between the gt2 belt and the cable chain. Step 18 assembly of the bearings: metal brackets with additional holes and bearings Mount the brackets on the 4020 extrusion of the belt assembly. There needs to be one in each corner. Metall brackets with holes on the left and on the right side. The elongated hole must face outwards as shown in the picture.

Step 20: Tension the Belt corner bracket with iFactory3D logo 8mm rod adjusting ring 8 mm Mount the corner bracket with the logo on the front outer corners. Move the front belt tightening sliders until they touch the corner bracket with the logo and tighten them.
Page 51
To tighten the belt, use the 8 mm rod. Place the inside the belt and push it downwards into the belt tightener. Secure the 8 mm rod on the outside with the adjusting rings. After that the printing position needs to be checked. For that push down the print head until the nozzle touches the belt.
