Connect a Sound Bar to Your TV
Before You Start
The connections illustrated in this solution use the HT-CT660 sound bar. Your sound bar and TV
connections may vary. Check your manual for model-specific information.
on your model support page.
After the devices are connected, switch the sound bar settings to TV.
Choose Your Connection Method
Connect to your TV using HDMI® (ARC)
To determine if the HDMI IN port on your TV supports the
(ARC)
function, check for the ARC label. If it doesn't have this label, the ARC function won't
work.
1. Connect one end of the HDMI cable (sold separately) to the HDMI IN (ARC) port on your TV.
2. Connect the other end to the TV OUT (ARC) port on your sound bar.

Connect to your TV using HDMI (without ARC) and an optical audio cable
1. Connect one end of the HDMI cable (sold separately) to the HDMI IN port on your TV.
2. Connect the other end to the TV OUT (ARC) port on your sound bar.
3. Then, connect an optical audio cable from the TV's Optical digital audio out to OPTICAL IN on
your sound bar (this is necessary to hear the TV audio).

Connect to your TV using an optical audio cable only
When you connect only with an optical audio cable, functions which require an HDMI
connection, such as power interlock and volume control with the TV remote, won't be possible.

    1. Press the HOME button. 2. Look at the Network Settings icon. Compare the network settings icon on your TV with the table below, and follow the suggested steps under Troubleshooting. The Wi-Fi signal strength is weak. Check steps 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6. Your TV is not connected to the router.

    5. Interference from other wireless devices If multiple wireless devices or electric equipment, such as microwave ovens, are used at home, it may affect the Wi-Fi performance of your TV. Power off these devices when not in use, or keep them away from your TV. Electromagnetic interference may also occur depending on the location of the TV.
  • Page 5 For Android TVs, the front light sensor will blink when the TV receives the IR signal. 5. Make sure you use the remote control 3 - 10 feet away from the unit, and that you point it at the remote sensor on the device. Using the remote control too close, too far away, or at various angles may prevent the IR signal from reaching the device.
