Of particular importance are the warning and information texts. These are separated from the remaining text, specially identified by appropriate pictograms (see Section 1.3).

    Warning Following removal of the frontal cover, or after opening the cabinet door of ETL3000 unit, certain parts of the device/system are accessible which may carry dangerous voltages. Therefore only suitably qualified personnel may work on this device. These must be thoroughly acquainted with all sources of danger and the maintenance measures as described in this Manual.

    ETL3000 /ETLONE are in contact with the open air to be monitored. The ETL3000 /ETLONE is supplied with mounting kit to be installed in a fixed execution (to be mounted on a pole or on a wall).

    2.4 Connection of input signals The microprocessor board of the ETL3000/ETLONE can be set to receive 36 input 0-5V signals. This option should be activated at Orion’s factory only by ORION’s personnel. If required, please contact ORION’s service department.

    Built-in Data Logger 5 Test and Calibration 5.1 Test control The ETL is an instrument which uses a not conventional principle of measurement, which is characterized by a stability of measurement for a long period of time. We suggest to carry out a calibration test every twelve max eighteen months (site dependent) to guarantee reliable measurements.

The calibration certificate of the meteo sensors should be asked with the purchase order and is subject to a quotation.

The modem is installed inside the ETL case and connected to the RS232 port.  The GSM MODEM or UMTS router, if ordered, is supplied WITHOUT the SIM- CARD.

    In order to manage all data collected by ETL, we suggest to use the software @COM3000. The program @Com 3000 will connect directly to the ETL3000, if this is provided with the GSM modem or UMTS router and it will simplify the remote download of data and statistic elaborations.

Each channel represents a compound of the configuration and for each one you can set a different unit changing the right conversion factor.

Try to switch off and on the ETL. If the problem persists, check that the two boards are well connected to the socket.
