The user moves from menus to monitor and setup screens as he/she prepares and conducts tests. The software is divided into setup, operation and monitoring functions. The ball in the Start and End buttons and the CLOCK box along the top of the screen will turn yellow when the timer is turned ON. At the same time, the details of the ON timer(s) will be displayed in the display area(s) on the Timer Setup screen.

PLATINOUS SERIES CONTROLLER MANUAL 2. Press the High/Low Limit Setup box on the Chamber Setup screen. 3. Set the absolute high/low temperature and humidity and the upper deviation temperature. The absolute high/low limits will determine the target input range in the constant and program modes.
PLATINOUS SERIES CONTROLLER MANUAL Absolute high/low limits These settings are designed to protect the chamber against thermal damage. Set them at least 10°C higher/lower than target temperature. When tripped, alarm generated and the chamber stops running. Upper deviation limit This setting is designed to protect specimens against heat damage.
PLATINOUS SERIES CONTROLLER MANUAL 3. Set the sampling cycle. This cycle determines at what interval data for the trend data is to be sampled. Cycle Sets sampling cycle. Selectable from 1 sec, 3- sec, 1 min or 5 min. Max. Rec. Time Displays the maximum amount of data that can be stored at the Cycle setting at left.

PLATINOUS SERIES CONTROLLER MANUAL 5.11.2. E-BUS Setup (Optional) (Not available on Platinous Sterling Series Chambers) The E-BUS is for communications between the chamber and a chamber. It requires the PMS-CA(CG) protocol converter. For more information on communications and operation, see the user’s manual provided with the PMS-CA(CG). This screen is for setting the chamber address and baud rate used in E-BUS communications.

Power Recovery Setup This screen is for setting the recovery mode in the event of a power failure, the backup mode to be applied when trouble occurs, and door alarm control. 1. PLATINOUS SERIES CONTROLLER MANUAL 5.11.4. Control Attainment Range Setup This screen is for setting temperature and humidity attainment range and holding time. The chamber uses these settings to stabilize control. When the control item stays within the set Attainment Range for the set holding Time, the chamber assumes the control target to have been reached and starts the step/test timer.

The signals are output from the connection terminal for temperature & humidity recorder (option). The factory setting is humidity output. The humidity terminal is labeled, therefore be careful if outputting another channel.

PLATINOUS SERIES CONTROLLER MANUAL 5.11.8. Register User Password To prevent access to the chamber configuration mode, a password can be registered with the instrumentation. Setting a password will required that the password be input before any of the setup screens can be accessed. If it is not necessary to protect settings, then a password need not be entered.
Select for chamber at altitude between 2500 and 2500-4999 4999 feet above sea level. Select for chamber at altitude 5000 feet above 5000~ sea level or higher. Note: The altitude setting is used to automatically adjust the SCP-220 internal humidity calculation for the altitude of the chamber.

PLATINOUS SERIES CONTROLLER MANUAL This tuning parameter is used to dampen the affect of the P parameter on the air temp SV. The D parameter relates to how quickly the rate of temp change is for the product. For more dampening, enter a large D value. For less dampening, enter a small D value.
This mode is reserved for serviceman use and cannot be accessed or used by the user. Tampering with parameters can lead to trouble. ESPEC will not assume responsibility for equipment trouble whatsoever when resulting from unauthorized use of the service mode.
