Upgrading Software Programs
Software programs stored in the ROM (IC401) on the AT-189C board can be upgraded by using a USB drive.
The software programs include adapter application and operating system (OS), which can be independently upgraded.
Use the following procedures to upgrade the software programs.
1-9-1.
Upgrading Adapter Application
Equipment Required
• USB drive (commercially available)
• Camera
HDC2500/2400/2550 in which HDC2570 or option (HKC-CN20 and HKC-TR27) is installed
Tip
For the operation method, refer to the operation manual or maintenance manual of the camera.
• CCU
HDCU2000/2500
Tip
For the operation method, refer to the operation manual or maintenance manual of the CCU.
Preparation
Copy the adapter application update data to the USB drive using the following procedure.
Note
For how to obtain the version update data file (hdfx200_app.pkg), contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center.
1.
Create the following directory in the USB drive.
¥MSSONY¥PRO¥CAMERA¥HDFX200
2.
Copy the version update data file "hdfx200_app.pkg" to the directory created.
Manually updating version
1.
Connect the USB memory that retains the version update program.
2.
Turn on the S001-1/DTX-13 board.
3.
Connect the camera and the CCU to the unit.
4.
Power on the unit, camera, and CCU.
5.
Display the HDFX menu in CAM MENU of the CCU.
CCU MENU → CCU CONFIGURATIN → <OTHERS> → CAM MENU
6.
Open page D14 <ROM VERSION> of the HDFX menu.
7.
Select "ADAPTER APP" and then press the ENTER button.
8.
When a message "VERSION UP OK?" appears, select "YES".
The unit restarts automatically and version update starts, and D505 on the DRX-13 board lights red. Upon
completion of the version update, D505 on the DRX-13 board goes out.
9.
Power off and on the unit and reopen page D14 <ROM VERSION> of the HDFX menu. On page D14, confirm
that the version has been updated.
10. Turn off the S001-1/DTX-13 board.
