4.9 Canopy emergency release
Function check of canopy emergency release on the ground
a) "Pilot" in seat, both canopy locking handles opened. One person at the
front end to lift the canopy.
Only LS4-b: The person at the front end should make sure that the
canopy is not lifted too far up by the gas strut. Otherwise this would
unduly deform the spring of the LS-Latch (Röger hook) located at the
fuselage.
After pulling the emergency canopy release handle the canopy must be
freely moveable at the front.
LS4 and LS4-a with TN4032 executed: The canopy must be lifted at
the front by the spring at the hinge by about 30 mm <1.2 in.>
LS4-b: The canopy must be lifted at the front by the instrument panel.
