Operating the refrigeration container
Charging lead gel batteries
!
WARNING!
If batteries are overcharged they may catch fire. Only use the charger
supplied. Read and observe the assembly and operating manual of the
charger.

NOTE
Fully charge the lead gel batteries at least every two months. Overload-
ing the battery or storing it for too long without using it may cause per-
manent damage to the lead gel batteries.
1. Connect the refrigeration container to an external power supply.
✔ The lead gel batteries are charged automatically via the charger.
2. Replace the lead gel batteries after approx. 600 charging cycles (see chapter
"Replacing lead gel batteries" on page 24).
Replacing lead gel batteries
1. Remove the four screws of the battery compartment (fig. 8, page 7).
2. Remove the battery compartment lid and put it safely to one side.
3. Loosen the terminal clamps on both lead gel batteries (fig. 9 A, page 8).
4. Remove the terminal clamps from the negative terminals of both lead gel batter-
ies at the same time to avoid a short circuit (fig. 9 B, page 8).
5. Remove the terminal clamps from the positive terminals of both lead gel batter-
ies at the same time to avoid a short circuit (fig. 9 C, page 8).
6. Undo the four screws and nuts of the battery mount on each lead gel battery.
Two of the four screws and nuts are located on the opposite side (fig. 0 A and
fig. 0 B, page 8).
7. Loosen and remove the lead gel batteries from the bracket (fig. 0 C, page 8).
8. Insert the new lead gel batteries in the bracket (fig. a A, page 9).
9. Attach the new lead gel batteries with the four screws and four nuts in the battery
mount (fig. a B and fig. a C, page 9).
10. Remove the terminal caps from the new lead gel batteries (fig. a D, page 9).
11. Place a terminal clamp for the positive terminal on the respective positive termi-
nal of the new lead gel batteries (fig. b A, page 9).
12. Place a terminal clamp for the negative terminal on the respective negative termi-
nal of the new lead gel batteries (fig. b B, page 9).
13. Tightly fasten the terminal clamps on both lead gel batteries (fig. b C, page 9).
