1) Unpacking list Please take care when unpacking your turntable to make sure that all items listed as follows are present. User manual Turntable unit complete with tonearm (and cartridge when purchased as a package) Z-type dust cover AC plug top power supply Pair of phono cables Drive belt Cartridge alignment protractor...
2) Setup First ensure that you have a flat surface to place your packaged turntable box and enough space to unpack its content. DO NOT attempt to lift the turntable from the box without first removing the packaging in accordance with the following instruction. Remember to retain the box and its packaging for transporting your turntable in future.
3) Connections Plug your turntable into a suitable AC mains outlet socket (having already checked that the voltage of your local electricity supply matches the label on the underside of your turntable). The use of an after market filter or dedicated turntable power supply will improve performance quite dramatically and are highly recommended.
Step 1 Remove your cartridge from its packaging being very careful not to damage the stylus. With the stylus guard ON connect the 4 coloured wires in the tonearm to the equivalent coloured pin on the back of your cartridge. To do this, use pliers to hold the flat on the connection tab whilst pushing the tab over the pin.
4.3) Setting the tracking weight With the stylus guard cover removed, gently slide the counterweight on from the rear - DO NOT tighten. Next, using a stylus balance (this item is not supplied) move the counterweight along the arm stub until the recommended tracking force is read by the scales.
6) Worldwide 3-year guarantee There are no user serviceable parts inside your Edwards Audio turntable product. Please DO NOT attempt to modify or alter the turntable in any way as this will invalidate your guarantee. Your guarantee entitles you to have your turntable repaired free of charge from date of purchase for the first three years (inclusive of the motor for the first year only).
