screws (4), curved washers (5) and
cap nuts (6) to do this (Picture E).
Make sure that the feet are placed
in the correct position! The cap nuts
must not be attached from below as
otherwise the training device is not
able to stand securely on the fl oor.
4. Place the saddle (11, 5) onto the
saddle holder (9) and screw it on tight
using the fl at washers (12) and the
nuts (13) (Picture F). When you do
this, make sure that they can only be
tightened and undone again using a
tool.
5. Insert the saddle holder (9) into the
bicycle frame (1, 14) and fi x it in place
using the adjusting screw (10, 8)
(Picture F). When you do this, align
the holes on the frame and holder with
one another and turn the adjusting
screw clockwise to tighten it.
Please Note: The saddle can be
adjusted to the correct height after
assembly.
6. Secure the back pad (18, 6) to its
holder (14) using the corresponding
hexagon socket screws (19) (Pic-
ture G).
7. Secure the holder for the back pad
(14) on the saddle holder (9) using the
corresponding fl at-head screws (15),
fl at washers (12) and the nuts (13)
(Picture G).
8. Secure the side handlebar (16, 7) on
the holder for the back pad (14) using
the corresponding hexagon socket
screws (17) and curved washers (5)
(Picture H).
9. Turn the pedals (7, 8, 13) tight on
the pedal mounts (28, 29) using the
spanner (Picture H). Make sure that
the markings L (left) and R (right) on
the pedals and mounts match.
Please Note: The pedals must be
tightened IN the direction of travel.
This means:
– the right pedal (right-hand thread) is
tightened in the clockwise direction,
– the left pedal (left-hand thread)
is tightened in the anticlockwise
direction.
10. Secure the handlebar (20, 1) on the
front part (27) of the bicycle frame (1, 4)
using the corresponding hexagon sock-
et screws (19), spring washers (21) and
curved washers (5) (Picture I).
11. First connect the cable (30) of the
training computer (22, 2) with the red
connecting piece to the sensor cable
(31) of the bicycle frame (1, 4).
12. Then connect the two other cables
of the training computer (22, 2) to the
pulse monitor cables (32) (Picture J).
13. Secure the training computer (22, 2) to
its holder (33) using the corresponding
cross-head screws (23) (Picture J).
14. Retighten all screws again at the end.
Positioning the Training
Device
PLEASE NOTE!
Always place the device on a dry, fl at,
stable and non-slip surface. Delicate
fl oor coverings should be protected
with a non-slip mat or similar.
Depending on your height, leave enough
space on all sides of the training device
(at least 1 metre to the sides, 2 metres
above it), so that there is enough room
to move during training (Picture B). In
addition, the clearance space needs to
be at least 0.6 m larger than the exer-
cise area in the direction from which the
training device is accessed. There must
be enough clearance space to enable the
user to get off the device quickly in an
emergency. If training devices are set up
in close proximity to each other, they can
share a clearance space.
