1. Description

The Remote control Remo 8 offers an Up/Down/Stop or
On/Off control for eight channels and can be set up with
various devices. If the remote control is not being used, it
is safely placed in the included magnetic wall-holder.
Remo 8 is suitable for the following devices:
• WS1/WS1000 Color and WS1/WS1000 Style control
(version 1.1 and up)
• Solexa control (v. 3.6 and up), Arexa (v. 3.7 and up)
• Solexa II
• WS1000 Connect
• WL305, WL610 ventilators (version 4.0 and up), WFL
air supply (version 2.0 and up), WL400/800, WL-Z
• RF-Relay (version 2.0 and up), RF-MSG motor control
unit, RF-VM ventilation module, RF-L dimmer
• KNX Touch One (Style) touch panel
The software version of the device must be appropriate for interaction
with the remote control!
Moisture is harmful to the electronic components of
the hand-held transmitter. You must therefore:
• Not leave it in the rain
• Not leave it outside overnight
• Protect it from frost

2. Installation and commissioning

2.1. Installing the wall-mounted holder

The holder must be firmly screwed to the wall.
Please use suitable dowels and screws as
supports. The screws should then be covered
with the provided screw covers.
The hand-held transmitter is held in position in
its tray with magnets.

2.2. Notes on wireless equipment

When planning facilities with devices that communicate via radio, ade-
quate radio reception must be guaranteed. The range of wireless control
will be limited by legal regulation and structural circumstances. Avoid
sources of interference and obstacles between receiver and transmitter,
that could disturb the wireless communication. Those would be for ex-
ample:

• Walls and ceilings (especially concrete and solar protection
glazing).
• Metal surfaces next to the wireless participants (e. g. aluminium
construction of a conservatory).
• Other wireless devices and powerful local transmitters (e.g.
wireless headphones), which transmit on the same frequency.
Please maintain a minimum distance of 30 cm between wireless
transmitters for that reason.

2.3. Configuring and deleting a connection

Each of the hand-held transmitter's eight channels can control one or
more radio channels (units).
2.3.1. WS1/WS1000 Color/Style/Connect control
systems
Configuration:
1. Bring the control unit into the set-up readiness state: Menu
System > Installation > Wireless connection > Setup.
Please also follow the instructions in the manual.
2. Press the centre of the +/- button on the hand-held
transmitter until an "L" for Learn and a number
(channel) are displayed.
The channel selected will not affect the configuration of
the WS1/WS1000.
3. Press the Up arrow button to establish the wireless
connection with the control system.
4. The "L" in the display goes out. The remote control is now
configured for the control system.
The System > Installation > Wireless connection > Status menu
item allows you to give the hand-held transmitter a separate
name and assign individual drives and devices to the hand-held
transmitter channels.
Deletion:
1. Delete the hand-held transmitter on the control system menu:
Menu System > Installation > Wireless connection > Delete.
Please also follow the instructions in the manual.

2.3.2. Solexa II control unit

Configuration:
1. Bring the control unit into the set-up readiness state: Menu Base
Settings > LEA. Please also follow the instructions in the manual.
2. Press the centre of the +/- button on the hand-held
transmitter until an "L" for Learn and a number
(channel) are displayed.
The channel selected will not affect the configuration of
the WS1/WS1000.
3. Press the Up arrow button to establish the wireless
connection with the control system.
4. The "L" in the display goes out. The remote control is now
configured for the control system. The assignment of an output
to a hand-held transmitter channel is made at the basic setting of
the respective output. Menu: Base Settings > OUt > SP X > INPt
Deletion:
1. Delete the hand-held transmitter on the control system menu:
Menu Base Settings > StAt . Please also follow the instructions in
the manual.
2.3.3. Solexa / Arexa control units, WL305 / WL610
/ WFL ventilation units, RF-VM
The configuration and deletion should only be perfor-
med by a trained electrician!
Configuration:
1. Bring the hand-held transmitter into the set-up
readiness state by pressing the centre of the +/- button
on the hand-held transmitter until an "L" for Learn and
a number (channel) are displayed.
2. Using + or - change to the hand-held transmitter that
you want to program (L 1 to L 8).
3. Press the programmer button inside the device using an
insulated screwdriver. The "L" in the display goes out. Now you
can control the device with this hand-held transmitter channel.
Deletion:
1. Bring the held-held transmitter into the deletion
readiness state. For this purpose press the +/- button in
the centre till "L" appears in the display. Then press
again till a "C" for Clear appears in the display
2. Using + or - change to the hand-held transmitter
channel that you want to delete (C 1 to C 8).
3. Now press the programmer button inside the device using an
insulated screwdriver. The wireless connection is deleted. The
"C" in the display goes out.

2.3.4. WL400 / WL800 / WL-Z ventilation units

To teach/delete the wireless connection, the fan cover need not be
removed.
Configuration:
1. Bring the hand-held transmitter into the set-up
readiness state by pressing and holding the centre of
the +/- button on the hand-held transmitter until an "L"
for Learn and a number (channel) are displayed.
2. Using + or - change to the hand-held transmitter
channel that you want to program (L 1 to L 8).
3. Switch on the power supply to the fan or switch the
power supply off briefly if the unit is already powered.
4. The fan will send a "Teach" telegram every 10 seconds
for 5 minutes after connecting the power. This teaches
the hand-held transmitter automatically.
Once the "L" in the display has gone out, you can
control the device with this hand-held transmitter
channel.
Deletion:
1. Bring the held-held transmitter into the deletion
readiness state. To do this, press and hold the middle
of the +/- button until an "L" appears in the display.
Then press again until a "C" for Clear appears in the
display.
2. Using + or - change to the hand-held transmitter
channel that you want to delete (C 1 to C 8).
3. Switch off the power supply to the fan briefly (switch the fuse
on/off). This clears the hand-held transmitter automatically. The
"C" in the display goes out.

2.3.5. Modules RF-MSG, RF-Relay, RF-L

The configuration and deletion should only be perfor-
med by a trained electrician!
